इससे जुड़ी जानकारी लेने पर चैनपुर थानाध्यक्ष उदय भानु सिंह के द्वारा बताया गया कि ईट भट्ठा पर काम करने वाले एक मजदूर 51 वर्षीय रामचंद्र बिंद दीपावली के पर्व पर ईंट भट्टा पर से अपने घर लौटे थे, गांव में पहुंचने के बाद अपने घर जाने के क्रम में गांव के ही कुछ लोगों के द्वारा पूर्व की रंजिश को लेकर मारपीट कर रामचंद्र बिंद की हत्या कर दी गई थी।

इस मामले में मृतक की पत्नी गुलाबी देवी के बयान के आधार पर प्राथमिकी दर्ज हुई थी, जिसमें 3 लोगों को नामजद किया गया था, नामजद लोगों में थानेदार बिंद उनके पुत्र ऋषि बिंद एवं उनकी पत्नी राधिका देवी का नाम शामिल था।
इस मामले में थानेदार बिंद एवं उनके पुत्र ऋषि बिंद को गिरफ्तार करके जेल भेजा जा चुका है, राधिका देवी फरार थी जिसे गुरुवार की सुबह गुप्त सूचना के आधार पर गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया है, जिन्हें मेडिकल जांच करवाने के उपरांत भभुआ न्यायिक हिरासत में भेज दिया गया है।
