सुरक्षा व्यवस्था से संबंधित जानकारी लेने पर चैनपुर थानाध्यक्ष उदय भानु सिंह के द्वारा बताया गया कि पुलिस गश्ती वाहन के द्वारा लगातार वैसे क्षेत्र जहां पिकनिक मनाने की संभावना दिख रही थी, वहां निगरानी की गई इसके साथ ही इनके द्वारा खुद से जगदंहबा डैम एवं वहां पर के आसपास की पहाड़ियों पर निगरानी की गई वैसे लोग जो बेसिलिका से बाइक आदि चला रहे थे, उन्हें रुकवा कर नशे की पुष्टि के लिए जांच भी की गई साथ ही उन लोगों को हिदायत भी दिया गया कि वह सलीके से बाइक चलाए ताकि सुरक्षित घर पहुंच सके, क्षेत्र में शांति व्यवस्था के साथ लोगों के द्वारा नव वर्ष का प्रथम दिन मनाया गया है।
