बता दे कि लालू समेत 40 दोषियों को इस केस में कोर्ट ने 15 फरवरी को दोषी करार दिया था, अधिवक्ता का कहना है कि सजा की आधी अवधि पूरी हो गई है, इसलिए लालू यादव को हाई कोर्ट से जमानत मिलने की उम्मीद है, कुल 40 लोगों को सजा सुनाई गई, 5 लोगों को 5 साल, 3 लोगों को 3 साल और कुल 32 लोगों को 4-4 साल की सजा सुनाई गई है।
