With tireless efforts and hard work, Gaurav Singh, the son of Shashi Singh, a substitute teacher in a girl-upgraded school located in Chamarhan of Sibsagar block of Rohtas district, has become the state topper in 65 BPSC examination.
जानकारी के अनुसार फिलहाल वह उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार में सहायक नियोजन पदाधिकारी के पद पर कार्यरत है, इससे पूर्व भी 64वीं बीपीएससी परीक्षा में उनका रैंक 142 था, गौरव का चयन सामाजिक सुरक्षा विभाग में सहायक निदेशक के पद पर हुआ था।

6 माह के अंदर लगातार दो बार लोक सेवा आयोग की परीक्षा में सफल होने वाले गौरव सिंह ने यह साबित कर दिया की कड़ा परिश्रम किया जाए तो सफलता मिलनी तय है, सफलता पाने वाले गौरव अपनी सफलता का श्रेय अपनी माँ और ननिहाल के लोगों को देते हैं जिन लोगों ने हमेशा उन्हें प्रोत्साहित किया, उनका मानना है की यह सफलता उनका अंतिम पड़ाव नहीं है, अभी लक्ष्य तो और आगे है।

चमरहा के ग्रामीणों के अनुसार बचपन में ही गौरव के सिर से उसके पिता का साया उठ गया था, पिता एयर फोर्स में थे, गौरव सिंह ने दसवीं और बारहवीं तक की पढ़ाई सीएचएसी वाराणसी से की है, उन्होंने कर्नाटक से मैकेनिकल इंजीनियरिंग की भी पढ़ाई की है, वही गौरव के चयन होने पर उनके ननिहाल में खुशी का माहौल है।
