A 50-year-old man died after being hit by a goods train under Kudra police station area of Kaimur district on Friday morning, the deceased has been identified as Upendra Singh, who is said to be a resident of Mohalla, railway station, Kudra.
उपेंद्र सिंह पूर्व में फुटबॉल खिलाड़ी रह चुके है जबकि वर्तमान में बिजली विभाग के ठेकेदार के रूप में काम करते थे, पूरे इलाके में बागद जी के नाम से पहचाने जाते थे बताया जा रहा है कि सुबह करीब 7 बजे बेलापुर रेलवे क्रॉसिंग के पास मालगाड़ी की चपेट में आ गए दुर्घटना में उनका शव बुरी तरह से क्षत-विक्षत हो गया, देखते ही देखते घटना समय भीड़ जमा हो गई।
Upendra Singh, who was a football player in the past while currently working as a contractor of the electricity department, was known as Bagad ji in the entire area. His dead body was badly mutilated in the accident that came in the grip, on seeing the incident a crowd gathered at the time of the incident.
घटना के बाद पूरे इलाके में शोक की लहर है कैमूर जिला फुटबॉल संघ के अधीक्षक वीरेंद्र प्रताप सिंह ने घटना पर शोक व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि पूर्व फुटबॉल खिलाड़ी के आत्मिक निर्धन से खेल प्रेमियों में शोक व्याप्त है, खिलाड़ियों ने 2 मिनट का मौन रखकर उन्हें श्रद्धांजलि दी, इस दौरान पूर्व प्रखंड प्रमुख गिरजेश सिंह सुरेंद्र राम व जिला फुटबॉल संघ के सचिव शंकर सिंह यादव उपस्थित रहे।

Tributes were paid, during which former block chief Girjesh Singh Surendra Ram and district football association secretary Shankar Singh Yadav were present.
