इससे संबंधित जानकारी लेने पर मोहनियां के थानाध्यक्ष ललन कुमार ने बताया कि अकोढ़ी गांव के समीप जीटी रोड पर समेकित चेक पोस्ट की जांच चौकी पर एंटी लिकर टास्क फोर्स एवं मद्य निषेध विभाग के पदाधिकारी यूपी की तरफ से आ रहे वाहनों की संयुक्त जांच कर रहे थे, इसी दौरान यूपी के तरफ से एक ट्रक आया, जिसे पदाधिकारियों ने रुकने का इशारा किया, लेकिन चालक ट्रक लेकर भागने का प्रयास किया, जिससे संदेह गहरा गया।

इसकी सूचना मिलते ही वे स्वयं पुलिस बल के साथ ट्रक का पीछा किए, पुलिस से घिरते देख कर चालक ट्रक लेकर मोहनिया थाना के बेलौड़ी गांव की तरफ भागा, जिसे घेर कर पकड़ लिया गया, चालक सहित ट्रक में सवार तीन पशु तस्करों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। जिसमें दिलशाद कुरैशी, सरताज कुरैशी व कमर आलम का नाम शामिल है, तीनों ग्राम चंदापुर थाना भोजपुर कानपुर के निवासी हैं। ट्रक में कितने मवेशी हैं इसकी गिनती की जा रही है, पूछताछ के बाद पशु तस्करों को जेल भेजा जाएगा।
