विभाग की ओर से जारी निर्देश में बताया गया कि सरकारी सेवक केवल 3 बार ही परीक्षा में शामिल हो सकेंगे, वही समान्य अभ्यर्थियों के लिए कोई तय सीमा नहीं की गई है, इन परीक्षाओं के निर्धारित उम्र सीमा पहले की तरह ही लागू रहेगी, इस मामले में संबंधित आदेश सामान्य प्रशासन विभाग के सभी विभागों के अलावा डीजे, आयुक्त, डीएम, बीपीएससी तकनीकी सेवा आयोग, बीएसएससी समेत अन्य सभी महकमों को जारी किया है।

बताते चले कि विभाग के प्रधान सचिव चंचल कुमार के स्तर से जारी इस आदेश में कहा गया है कि किसी भी सरकारी सेवा में एक बार आने के बाद अधिकतम तीन अवसर की सीमा निर्धारित रहेगी जबकि सामान्य अभ्यर्थियों के लिए कोई सीमा तय नहीं है।
