To prevent electricity theft in Bihar, special preparations have been made by the state government, a special strategy is being prepared for this, with this STF has been formed in the department, they will be deployed in all 20 circles of the state. It will directly attack the area from where more complaints of power theft will be received.
ऊर्जा विभाग के मुताबिक इसका नेतृत्व उस इलाके के अधीक्षण अभियंता करेंगे, धावा दल में पर्याप्त संख्या में कर्मचारी व अधिकारी तैनात किए जाएंगे ताकि बिजली चोरी पर लगाम लगाया जा सके, राज्य में लगातार बिजली चोरी बढ़ती जा रही है इसलिए कंपनी में सर्किल स्तर पर एसटीएफ गठन करने का निर्णय लिया है।

ऊर्जा विभाग के अनुसार राज्य भर में इसके कुल 20 कार्यालय होंगे जिसके मुखिया अधीक्षण अभियंता होंगे, कार्यपालक अभियंता, सहायक विद्युत अभियंता व कनीय अभियंता के अलावा हर आंचल में एक कंप्यूटर ऑपरेटर, कार्यपालक सहायक व एक परिचर की भी प्रतिनियुक्ति की जाएगी।

बिजली कंपनी ने वित्तीय वर्ष 2020-21 में 17 हजार 581 करोड़ की बिजली की खरीदारी की इसमें से 25 फ़ीसदी की चोरी यानी 4395 करोड़ रुपए की बिजली की चोरी हो गई, कंपनी के मुताबिक उपभोक्ताओं की संख्या एक करोड़ 70 लाख तक पहुंच गई है।
The power company purchased electricity worth 17 thousand 581 crores in the financial year 2020-21, out of which 25% of electricity was stolen i.e. Rs 4395 crores, according to the company the number of consumers has reached one crore 70 lakhs.
