गिरफ्तार शराब माफिया द्वारा बंगाल से बिहार के कई जिलों में अंग्रेजी शराब के साथ नकली शराब और स्प्रिट की भी तस्करी की जाती थी, बिहार पुलिस को पिछले 2 सालों से इसकी तलाश थी, गिरफ्तार शराब माफिया के खिलाफ बिहार के करीब डेढ़ दर्जन थानों में मद्य निषेध अधिनियम के तहत प्राथमिकी दर्ज है, जिसमें बिहार के पूर्णिया, अररिया, सुपौल, किशनगंज, मुजफ्फरपुर, समस्तीपुर, सारण, बांका, वैशाली एवं मोतिहारी जिले के दर्जन थाने शामिल है, पुलिस को लंबे समय से इसकी तलाश थी, शराब माफिया द्वारा बंगाल के साथ हरियाणा के शराब तस्करों के साथ भी संपर्क था बंगाल के रास्ते वह भारी मात्रा में शराब की तस्करी बिहार की जिलों में करता था।
